We are organizing, under the inspiration of Dr Jacques Vigne, support for the large school of 300 students that he founded in 2004 in Guptakashi near the source of the Ganges at Kedarnath, as well as a school for disabled children in Surkhet in western Nepal, two schools in Bodhgaya, the place of the Buddha's enlightenment, and the monastery of Tenzin Palmo (from which Jacques Vigne recently had a book published, "Commentaries on Meditation") near Dharamashala, which trains around one hundred young Tibetan women in Buddhist monastic life and, possibly, in long retreats.
We thank the many people who have already supported us, for example the participants in Jacques's online "visopratiques" meditation sessions, and now that the lockdown is easing in India, we are in the process of transferring the funds there.
