As-salamu alaykum,
Faced with the fires currently ravaging several regions in Algeria, the situation is critical. Thousands of families have lost everything overnight and find themselves without shelter, without water and without food.
The Prophet ﷺ said : “Whoever relieves a believer of a hardship among the hardships of this world, Allah will relieve him of a hardship among the hardships of the Day of Resurrection” (Reported by Muslim).
What I plan to do
I plan to go directly on-site to provide concrete, rapid and without intermediaries assistance. The money collected will be used to buy necessities directly in Algeria to distribute to the most affected people:
-Drinking water and emergency food parcels.
-First aid medical supplies and treatments for burns.
-Hygiene kits, blankets and clothing.
These are what families will need on-site as a priority.
Full transparency
Trust is paramount (an amana). I will regularly share updates from the mission on the ground, with photo/video situation updates and receipts for purchases made.
Do not underestimate any donation, the Prophet ﷺ said : “Protect yourselves from the Fire, even if only by half a date” (Reported by Al-Bukhari). Even 5 or 10 euros make a difference. If you cannot contribute financially, sharing the fundraiser and your prayers are a tremendous help.
