Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji‘oun — Indeed to Allah we belong and indeed to Him we shall return.
Our sister left us after having fought cancer. She leaves behind two young children, one aged three and the other aged two.
May Allah have mercy on her, forgive her sins, elevate her rank in Paradise and grant patience, strength and comfort to her children as well as to her entire family. Ameen.
We initially opened this fundraiser to have a well built, with the intention that this work be a sadaqa jariya (a continuing charity) and that Allah grant its reward to our sister.
Alhamdoulillah, thanks to your generosity, the sum of 1 227 € has been raised today.
The entirety of these 1 227 € will, insha'Allah, be dedicated to the construction of a large well or of several wells, depending on possibilities and the needs of the populations on site.
We have also chosen not to inscribe our sister’s name on the well(s). They will be built in the name of all Muslims, with the sincere intention that Allah make this work a sadaqa jariya and grant its reward to our deceased sister.
May Allah immensely reward all the people who contributed, shared this fundraiser or made du‘as.
We now wish, insha'Allah, to continue this beautiful chain of sadaqa jariya. All money collected beyond the 1 227 € will be dedicated either to participating in the construction of a mosque, or to providing aid to an existing mosque to meet its needs, notably for works, equipment or other necessities.
The choice will be made, insha'Allah, according to real needs and the place where this aid can be most useful.
Thus, the first 1 227 euros will be fully devoted to the large well or to the various wells, and every euro raised beyond this amount will be devoted to a mosque.
The Prophet ﷺ taught that when a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three, among which is a continuing charity.

We hope, by the permission of Allah, that each person who benefits from this water as well as every good made possible by the aid given to a mosque will constitute a source of continuing rewards.
