Hello everyone, As-salamu alaykum
We are setting up this fundraiser to cover the legal fees that will help restore the honor of Imam Islem Eddy Lecocq, to respond to the slanderous denunciations he has recently suffered, which—through media frenzy—have harmed his honour, his safety and his work as an imam.
The imam has indeed been accused of things he is the first to condemn; accused of acts he has always disavowed and which are incompatible with Islam.
The imam has decided to file a complaint — with the help of Me Guez Guez and Me Elhamamouchi — against these accusations of which he has been the object without trial or hearing.
Serious accusations, while he has always simply shared the message of Islam with everyone. Doing so with wisdom, kindness, a call for coexistence and devoid of any form of incitement to violence or hatred of others.
Contributing to this fundraiser is not only support for the imam. It is also asserting our freedom of faith and worship. It is also helping ensure that Islam can continue to be shared in mosques.
In this matter, not only an imam but also a community and fundamental rights have been affected. Doing nothing is letting history repeat itself.

En effet, nous avons déjà dépassé la moitié de la somme à récolter.

Cette affaire, pour interpeller ceux qui ne comprennent toujours pas sa longue portée, est très importante, sur le plan symbolique.
Notre finalité est de s'opposer à cette volonté, si ce n’est ce besoin, de destituer tout imam [qui prêche simplement l'Islam authentique] par la décontextualisation de ses propos, quitte à vider les mosquées de leurs imams, quitte à piétiner leur honneur et leur carrière.
Continuons alors nos efforts afin d'éviter que les choses ne se perpétuent indéfiniment.
