On March 7, my little cat Moon, 4 years old and from an association, was hit by a vehicle (I suppose, because I was not a witness to the accident, and of course no one stopped...)

Luckily, being present I was able to help my little Mounette as quickly as possible.

I was upstairs and heard her meowing strangely; I went downstairs and found her lying on the carpet at the bottom of the stairs, with wounds on her hind legs.
(Amazing when you think of the route she covered: 50m of road + 2 cat flaps + a few steps — to get back in despite her injuries...)
I examined her and quickly realized she couldn't use her legs, so I immediately took her to the Biovet veterinary clinic in St Paul les Dax (40), which knows me well. She was taken in right away, and after a few minutes and an examination, the verdict came:
Fracture of the left tibia + fracture of the right pelvis + dislocation of the left hip.
And unfortunately, the fractures affect the joints, so there is a risk of long-term consequences.

She therefore needs surgery; I was warned about the high cost this could entail, but it is out of the question to abandon my Princess, so yes, of course she will be operated on.
She was first operated on for the tibia, where an arthrodesis had to be performed, and on the pelvis, then in a second operation for the dislocation, where it was necessary to remove the femoral head.

She is currently recovering quietly and tonight we will remove the stitches.
An X-ray to check the pins is scheduled in 12 weeks and she will need osteopathy sessions afterwards.
