My name is Julia Walter, I am 40 years old, I am a mother of two children and I live in the Haguenau area, in Alsace.

In July 2021, my life was turned upside down.

On the evening of my second COVID‑19 injection with the Pfizer vaccine, I developed severe chest pains. The next day I was taken to the emergency department, where an acute post‑vaccinal pericarditis was diagnosed by the doctor who treated me. A report was also made to the pharmacovigilance department of the ANSM.

From that moment on, emergency visits, medical appointments and examinations followed one another. Inflammations, muscle and joint pain, extreme fatigue… Then, over the months, new symptoms appeared.

Despite the passing years, the difficulties persist and have progressively multiplied: repeated pericarditis, pericarditis that became chronic, ankylosing spondylitis, cognitive disorders, memory problems, fasciculations, disabling chronic fatigue, myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS)…

In August 2025, I also developed eczematous psoriasis on my scalp, with symptoms that add to an already very difficult daily life.

Then, at the end of January 2026, I faced a new ordeal: a pulmonary embolism. I have been on anticoagulants since then and am undergoing medical follow‑up and additional tests.

Today, it has been more than five years since my life completely changed.

I had to give up my job as a childminder, a profession I deeply loved, because of my disabilities. Everyday tasks have become difficult and my family life is also affected.

My fatigue and pain can be extremely severe. Some days, the simplest things become real ordeals. I now need the help of a home care assistant on a daily basis, as well as technical and human aid to cope with certain everyday tasks.

I am recognized by the Maison Départementale des Personnes Handicapées (MDPH) with a disability rate greater than or equal to 80% and I am on disability, category 2.

⚖️ A JUDICIAL BATTLE THAT CONTINUES

Faced with this situation and after publicly sharing my story from July 2021, I received many testimonies from people who also experienced difficulties after their vaccination.

I could not remain inactive.

In February 2022, I therefore initiated proceedings before the Tribunal judiciaire de Paris against Pfizer, notably to have my situation medically examined and to obtain recognition of the causal link that I believe exists between my pathologies and the vaccination.

On 23 April 2023, I was heard in Paris by the medical experts appointed in this procedure, in the presence of my lawyer and representatives of Pfizer.

After more than four years of proceedings, a new judicial hearing will take place on Monday 16 November 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Tribunal judiciaire de Paris.

This procedure represents for me far more than a legal file. It represents years of my life, suffering, examinations, treatments, uncertainties and a fight so that my experience can finally be heard and examined.

🤝 MY COMMITMENT TO OTHER VICTIMS

Since 2021, I have also chosen to put my experience at the service of others.

I am a member of the board of the association AAVIC TEAM, which today brings together hundreds of victims and members across metropolitan France and the overseas departments and territories.

I have met many people engaged in paths similar to mine. We often share the same difficulties: medical wandering, administrative procedures, legal processes, job loss, isolation, suffering and the need for recognition.

In Alsace‑Moselle, I also participated in the creation of the association “On a eu not’ dose”, of which I am now a spokesperson.

Through this commitment, I wish to continue to free speech, listen, support and guide people who find themselves faced with these situations.

My daily life has become very different from what it was before 2021. I must now live with significant limitations, regular care and examinations, human assistance and an uncertain future.
