These past months have been intense, overwhelming, and deeply transformative. My baby has a rare condition, "situs inversus"... in addition to being a miracle baby who arrived after more than 7 years of waiting...
I'm going through a particular pregnancy, with close medical monitoring and concerns that demand a lot of mental and emotional strength. In this context, I'm doing my best to stay steady, to move forward day by day, and to prepare my baby's arrival with as much serenity as possible.
But beyond the medical side, there is also everything we don't always say. For a long time, I was a person who was very present for others. Someone who listens, supports, understands, and sometimes carries others' emotions when they no longer had the strength. I gave a lot, often without counting, with an open and sincere heart.
Today, I realize that I'm going through a period where I too would need that same presence, that same kindness, that same listening.
Without bitterness or reproach... simply with clarity.
It is sometimes difficult to be the one who supports everyone, who contains, who soothes, and to find yourself alone when you need to be supported in turn. This is not a regret, it's a human observation.
And despite all this, I keep the same heart: one that loves, believes in others, and continues to want to move forward with gentleness and respect.
It is in this context that I chose to be accompanied by a doula.
"A doula is a presence offering emotional and human support. She is not there to replace medical care, but to support the pregnant woman in what she experiences internally: doubts, fears, emotional exhaustion, and all that is not visible but sometimes weighs heavily. She provides a stable, compassionate, and continuous presence before, during, and after birth."
This support represents for me a true help to get through this phase with more serenity, inner security, and gentleness.
As this support has a cost, I've opened a fundraiser for those who wish to contribute, even symbolically.
I'm not seeking pity, nor trying to minimize what I've experienced or given to others. I simply wish to be able to say today that I too need to be surrounded. I too need the kindness I've long offered.
And if you choose to support this initiative, even with a small gesture or a share, it will already mean a great deal to me.
"What if today, I finally allowed myself the right to receive what I've always given."
Thank you to those who take the time to read me with attention and humanity.
"A small gesture is worth as much as a big one"
