This fundraising does not accept donations anymore.
My name is Hidaya, I am just 6 months old and I suffer from a life-threatening liver disease: biliary atresia!
Biliary atresia is progressive and, if untreated, it leads in the medium term to cirrhosis and portal hypertension, then to liver failure and death.
**
At 60 days of life, I underwent a surgery called the Kasai procedure.
This operation consists of reconstructing the bile drainage outside the liver by bringing a loop of intestine to the entrance of the liver (where bile drains). The goal is to allow bile to flow into the intestine and to prevent the liver from being damaged.
Unfortunately, for me, this procedure was a failure.
My life is in danger if I am not treated quickly!
I suffer from severe jaundice; my eyes are extremely yellow because of the excess bilirubin my body cannot eliminate.
The only solution to treat me and give me a chance to live remains a liver transplant. Unfortunately, it is not performed in my country.
My mother is ready to donate the graft necessary for my survival but unfortunately my family cannot afford to finance such an expensive operation.
That is why my parents have asked L'ilot Câlins for help.
A quote has been obtained from Médical Park hospital, where many transplants are performed each week.
Here is the estimate:
To this estimate are added bank and association fees as well as an extra in case of complications. If I were to die, the association will allocate the collected funds to another sick child of its choice.
I am my mother's only child and she could not bear to lose me!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your solidarity and for helping me live ❤️
