It is with great emotion that I announce that Ritaj passed away last night after a battle with liver cancer.
Her fundraiser will be donated to Ala Errahmen, who needs to receive an urgent second bone marrow transplant.

Ritaj El Khatmati is a wonderful little girl of 3 and a half years old.
Her life seemed peaceful until April 2020 when everything changed after her mother discovered an abdominal mass.
The verdict came quickly and a hepatoblastoma (liver tumor) was found.
Since then Ritaj has undergone chemotherapy sessions that have not been very conclusive.
Removal of the tumor was considered at that time, but unfortunately, because it was located near the veins, the surgeons preferred not to operate.
The only and sole solution was to remove the portion of the liver with the tumor and graft a portion from her mother.
As you know, this liver transplant is not performed in Morocco and the state does not help them to seek treatment abroad to receive proper care.
This is why we decided to help this family and we hope you will stand by our side.
The cancer continues to progress and we must act very quickly to transfer Ritaj to Turkey, where she will receive a transplant at Acibadem Hospital in Istanbul with the renowned Dr. Remzi.
Here is the estimate we have prepared at a cost of 60000€.
