In Kone, a small village located in the Thiès region of Senegal, the children at the preschool grow up and learn without access to a source of drinking water within their school. In this isolated village, where infrastructure is very limited, access to water remains a daily challenge.
A simple well would nevertheless transform their daily lives. It would provide the children and the teaching staff with sustainable access to clean water, essential for drinking, cooking, maintaining good hygiene and studying in better conditions.
We are two sisters and our paths have both led us to Senegal: one lives there today, the other came to spend a holiday. Through this experience, we discovered a reality that deeply moved us: access to drinking water remains a daily challenge for many children. This awareness motivated us to act together by launching this fundraiser.
Work can begin at the end of the rainy season, from the end of September, the most suitable period to carry out this project under good conditions.
