The Children of the Atlas are 110 abandoned children, orphans and/or disabled, located in a village in the south of Morocco, 30 min from Marrakech. This village, “Dar Bouidar,” was built by Mr Huber, a Swiss national settled in Morocco.
He invested his fortune to build it in order to welcome and care for these children. Donations ensure the sustainability of this village.
@travel_withlana, @hananekov, @cilsbymima, @alexia_yumcha and @layall.morocco are launching this project to provide aid by financing one month’s supply of diapers and milk for all the babies, medical equipment for the disabled children, and the purchase of 3 freezers.
The village has no electrical grid connection; it uses generators (6h/day) and there are many power cuts. This greatly complicates their daily life. The freezers have a 7-hour autonomy, so even during outages food can be preserved.
@travel_withlana, @hananekov / @hklashes, @cilsbymima, @alexia_yumcha and @layall.morocco will soon go on site, and in the interest of transparency, absolutely everything will be shown to you (invoices to support, purchases, donations, photos and videos at the village alongside Mr Huber and the children through our Instagram stories...)
In total, just for 1 month, the needs for diapers and milk amount to 16 704 DH (Moroccan dirhams) i.e. 1 572 € at the current rate.
Added to that are 900 € (3x freezers) and the purchase of medical equipment for 528 €.
Total: 3000 €
