HELP THE VICTIMS OF THE 06/02/2023 EARTHQUAKE

We still need you and your donations to help the victims of the earthquakes of February 6, 2023.

We have raised our targets, the needs are immense!

To give you an idea of prices for deliveries we have made:

- Underwear kits (children/women/men = €1.5 to €2.5 per kit, we distributed around 1,500 kits).

- Food basket €20 per basket (it includes about 15 kg to 18 kg: pasta-rice-flour-wheat-sugar-oil-salt-tea-beans-lentils etc.). The goal is to deliver 1,000 baskets.

- Notebooks for school and toys for children (€2,500).

- We delivered wood-burning stoves (€37 per stove = 30 units) and firewood (1.6 T).

- Phone chargers.

Your initial donations were used to buy toilets (WC), wood-burning stoves, underwear and toys for the children...

With your donations, we also organized activities to bring a little smile back to the children.

We grouped together with donors based in Great Britain to share expenses and a friend/cousin negotiates prices in Adana, to deliver as close as possible and avoid wasting money.

We are "in friendship" (in the process of affiliation) with the association "La Voix de l'Enfant", whose president and founder Martine Brousse is a friend and whose patrons are Carole Bouquet and Bruno Solo.

Your donations will also support local associations that aid the victims and our volunteer partners. We also wish to provide support even when the news gradually forgets the disaster victims...

The earthquakes of 6 February 2023 have already caused the deaths of tens of thousands of people in Turkey and Syria. Millions are homeless. Through our non-profit association "Antakya - toprağının Çocukları/ Helen", the main purpose of the relief fundraising activities we organize is to reach the families most affected by the earthquake and support their return to normal life.
