On November 29, 2025, Zoé Penot, a rope access technician for 3 years, was the victim of a very serious work accident.
She suffered an open double fracture as well as a tearing of all the muscles connecting her arm to her hand; she was evacuated in absolute emergency from the accident site, then underwent several hours of surgery to reconstruct her arm. The psychological trauma caused by this accident is immense.
Before her accident, Zoé had many projects, including a winter season in the Hautes-Alpes to put money aside, followed by fitting out her truck. She had just obtained her driver’s license and purchased a beautiful truck that needed work inside.
She also intended to continue improving her skills in rope work, to keep practising this profession which is a true passion for her.
All these projects are now postponed, largely delayed by a recovery that could last months, even years. In the worst-case scenario mentioned by the surgeon, it may even be that Zoé will never be able to work on ropes again.
By contributing to this fundraiser, you can help Zoé realise her dreams despite the obstacles she faces. Whatever the amount, everyone can take part so that money does not become an additional source of stress for my sister, who has already had her share for this end of the year.
Furthermore, Zoé may be led to initiate legal proceedings, incurring attorney fees that she of course had not anticipated. This fundraiser would also help contribute to these démarches.
