Hey everyone !

My sweet love Mercutio can barely survive, and prefers to prioritize giving their dog, who was adopted traumatized a few months ago from the SPA, a better life rather than eating enough.

Their meager social assistance sadly doesn't cover their debts, notably the rent for an unsanitary home that is completely unsuitable for their salvaged wheelchair, and the need to ask for help to maintain it despite their relentless efforts to adapt it as they need.

And, as if that weren't already far too much, they also face social and medical discrimination and violence for who they are.

Despite all their struggles, they are an incredibly generous, unconditionally loving person, and I'm lucky to be in a relationship with them.
I unfortunately don't have the means to help them as much as I'd like, because I also receive the AAH which, as we all know when we're disabled, keeps us below the poverty line with the crumbs we're 'generously' given.

So that's their current situation — unfortunately I think it may resonate with many of us.
