My name is Nouria and I am Nidal’s mother, an extraordinary 12-year-old boy.
Nidal has a rare genetic disease, ECHS1, which causes a severe disability. He does not walk, does not speak and depends entirely on me for all daily tasks.
Today, Nidal weighs 35 kilos. I carry him every day to move him, to settle him or to meet his needs. I do it with all the love of a mother ❤️, but my body is now reaching its limits.
Our car is no longer at all suitable: Nidal’s new seat corset no longer fits in it. We are forced to take public transport, which he cannot tolerate, or to walk long distances on foot with him and his two little brothers.
That is why we are appealing to your generosity. 🙏
Our goal is to finance a TPMR vehicle enabling Nidal to travel directly in his wheelchair. The MDPH can contribute to the adaptation, but not to the purchase of the vehicle.
This vehicle would change our life: it would avoid the many times he has to be carried, make Nidal’s journeys safer and finally offer us a bit of serenity.
