There are moments when life is turned upside down in a matter of hours, and everything you’ve built seems to collapse all at once.
On 5 juillet 2026, a violent fire in the Pyrénées-Orientales devastated everything in its path. In less than 24 hours, Yohan, a farmer, orchardist and hemp grower, watched the product of many years of work, effort and sacrifice go up in smoke.
His house was destroyed. His equipment, his stocks, vehicles and nearly 80 % of his crops vanished in the flames. He didn’t even have time to save his papers, personal belongings, or the memories that filled his home. Everything was swallowed by the fire.
And like many farmers, insurance was far too expensive, so he didn’t have any.
The losses are now estimated at nearly 140 000 €.
Being a farmer already means living every day with uncertainty, the whims of nature, economic difficulties and work that demands immense commitment. But losing in a few hours what you spent years building is a tragedy of overwhelming force. No one should have to start over after such an ordeal.
Today we are calling on your generosity. To help Yohan get back on his feet, find a roof and rebuild his activity, we are organizing a fundraising campaign.
Whether you are a relative, a friend, a customer or simply moved by the plight of a disaster-struck farmer, every donation, even modest, can provide precious help. Every gesture counts. Every show of support is an outstretched hand, a little warmth, a little hope amid the chaos.

Hello everyone,
A huge thank you to all the people who have already participated in or shared our fundraising campaign.
Every gesture, even the smallest one, brings us comfort and helps us concretely to restart our activity and continue participating in local production with the peasant values that drive us.
Thanks to you, we have already passed the first steps, which will be the purchase of agricultural equipment.
But the road is still long to rebuild everything.
Now, we still need to collect funds or equipment for the reconstruction of the burned infrastructures.
Despite the emotional shock, we refuse to give up.
We choose to move forward concretely, for us, for our children, but also out of respect for all the people who contributed to the fundraiser.
Your support gives us the strength to continue. We will remain dignified, transparent, and honest at every step.
Starting Wednesday and for 3 days, a good number of supportive comrades will come to lend us a hand to clean a large part of the ordeal that the climate has inflicted on us...
