Over the past few weeks, we have seen an increase in appeals for donations in favor of the four police officers prosecuted for the assault on Michel.

And then the final blow came on December 3 when we learned that, on top of everything, they would receive state-funded legal assistance… By a sort of reversal of values, it is Michel’s assailants who now benefit from a colossal legal and financial backing to defend the indefensible. From this observation and in response to the many expressions of support, this fundraiser was created to support Michel.
The funds raised are intended to help with the long battle that Michel will have to assume financially to recover physically and morally, to assert his rights before the judicial authorities, and to restore his studio to its original condition after it was damaged by the police assault. The tendon of his left biceps was severed during the attack; he will never fully regain use of his left arm.
The other portion of the funds raised will be donated to the Michel Zecler Foundation, currently being established, whose actions will, we hope, contribute to better interactions between youth from the neighborhoods and the National Police.

Je tenais particulièrement à tous vous remercier un par un. Vos dons me touchent beaucoup. Je vais pouvoir commencer avec cette premiere partie a rembourser mes nombreux frais medicaux qui ne cessent de s'accumuler. La somme recoltée jusqu'à aujourdhui va me permettre de rembourser lles nombreux medecins, l'opération, les anésthésistes, les traitements, les kinesithérapeutes qui s'occupent de mois pratiquement tous les jours pour ma reeducation du bras gauche. La kiné doit durer encore quelques mois. Mes soins psychiatriques qui sont nombreux, mes 3 différents pshychiatres que je vois régulierement et qui m'aident à vivre avec ce traumatisme. Je ne peux toujours pas travailler... Les prochains fonds recoltés serviront à mes frais d'avocats, et ma fondation, pour continuer les actions que j'ai deja commencé avec ma ville de Bagneux.
