Salam aleykum #TeamMH, we are happy to present our fourth project entitled “The Notebooks of Hope: Erase a debt, relieve a family”**
_The project in brief:_
_• Identify Moroccan families in difficulty _
_• Anonymously repay their food-related debts_
_• Provide direct, concrete and immediate assistance_
_• Ensure transparency on the use of donations_
• Create a chain of solidarity and mercy across the country
The project in detail:
In Morocco, in many working-class neighborhoods and villages, the most modest families survive thanks to credit granted by small local shops, the “Hanout”.
In these shops, there is often a notebook where residents’ debts are recorded: a few dirhams for bread, milk, oil, sugar or essential everyday products.
Behind each line written in that notebook lies a difficult reality: a single mother who can no longer feed her children until the end of the month, a sick father who can no longer work, a family affected by unemployment or elderly people living in extreme hardship.
Today still, despite economic progress, millions of Moroccans remain in precarious situations.
According to the High Commission for Planning (HCP), around 2.5 million people still lived in a situation of multidimensional poverty in Morocco in 2024.
In many households, a few hundred dirhams are enough to completely change a situation:
Our associative project has a simple but deeply human objective: to collect donations in order to travel through Morocco’s cities to anonymously repay the debts of families in difficulty at the Hanout.
This project is not only about paying a sum of money. It is above all about restoring dignity, relieving families crushed by stress and giving a little hope back to those who live with the daily anxiety of no longer being able to feed their loved ones.
Transparency and traceability
To guarantee full transparency, debt repayments will be documented directly during visits to the Hanout. Photos, videos or reports may be shared to show concretely where the money was used and the real impact of donations on the families helped.

Each donation, even modest, can lighten the burden carried by an entire family.
Because helping a family discreetly is preserving its dignity. And because together, we can turn small aids into immense collective relief.
€10, €20 or €50 can already erase a debt and relieve an entire family.
Together, let’s turn the notebooks of debts into notebooks of hope for these families.
According to Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever grants respite to a person in difficulty or erases his debt, Allah will place him under His shade on the Day when there will be no shade except His.”
