As-salamu alaykum Dear sister, Dear brother,
We need you to complete the construction of our mosque in Talence! By the grace of Allah the work began on 6 July 2020 and the mosque has risen from the ground. The structural work was completed in March 2021. Thanks to the donations of the faithful, the total project expenditures reached 831 407 € (land, initial phases of construction, studies…) for an estimated total budget of 1 200 000 €. Today, we call on you to help us carry out the "clos et couvert" stage, also called "hors d'eau hors d'air". It is estimated at 170 000€ and covers the carpentry, roofing and exterior joinery packages.
By supporting this project, you will participate in the construction of a mosque for you, your children and for future generations, in sha' Allah! What better deed than to invest in a mosque during this blessed month? Those dear to you can also benefit from your charity. You surely have family members you cherished who are now in the hands of the Creator. By the grace of Allah, their graves will be illuminated by your donations. Indeed, our beloved Prophet ﷺ was asked by a man who said to him: « my mother has died, if I give charity for her, will she receive a reward? » He replied: « yes ». The Prophet ﷺ also said: « Heal your sick with your charities ». You may have a loved one who is ill and for whom you wish healing — help them with this donation!
Dear sister, dear brother, know that a person will not attain true piety except by practicing charity as Allah, exalted be He, says: « You will not attain (true) piety unless you give of that which you cherish. Whatever you give, Allah surely knows it well. » Surah 3 : AL-IMRAN (THE FAMILY OF IMRAN), verse 92.

A mosque open to its city:

It is in the green setting of the Bois de Thouars in Talence that AMT (Association Musulmane à Talence) purchased in May 2013 a 1571 m2 plot. The total surface area of the building will be 770 m2 spread over 2 levels. The future mosque is a necessity for Muslim citizens of Talence and the neighboring communes. It is a safe and respectful place for the faithful that AMT wishes to offer to the town's residents to welcome them with dignity.
