Fund the construction of YOUR first eco-friendly mosque in Yvelines 🌿
Based in Yvelines, the intercommunal project for the Fontenay Saint-Cyr mosque is guided by our commitment to protect the environment and minimize our impact on the planet. We have taken environmental constraints into account while striving to maintain the comfort of the worshippers.
We have therefore chosen sustainable solutions such as:
the use of low‑carbon concrete
a concrete insulation and vegetated terraces to reduce soil sealing
rainwater harvesting for the sanitary facilities
the installation of photovoltaic panels
We have oriented the large openings of the building to maximize solar gain and natural light, thereby limiting energy consumption.
Heating will be provided by reversible air-to-water heat pumps with underfloor heating for the large prayer halls.
We have also planned a semi-intensive vegetated roof terrace which offers many advantages such as:
the excellent thermal and acoustic insulation
the reduction of flood risk
the oxygen production and the support of wildlife and plant species.
