Several Wilayas in eastern Algeria have been hit by spectacular fires in recent days. The hardest hit is the Wilaya of JIJEL, which saw 80% of its greenery turn to ashes!
The losses are considerable: a few hundred people have died (awaiting the official toll); entire villages have been ravaged by flames that have engulfed people, animals and everything green!
Hundreds of families who lived modestly from livestock and olive cultivation have LOST EVERYTHING. They find themselves without shelter, with nothing!

The mosquée Ibn-Khaldoun in Rennes is launching this initiative, which aims to strengthen the popular solidarity already underway. The needs are considerable!

Allah (عز و جل) says: «And spend out of what We have provided for you before death comes to one of you and he then says: “My Lord! if only You would grant me a short respite: I would give charity and be among the righteous”.» (Al-Munafiqun, verse 10).

عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «مَنْ نَفَّسَ عَنْ مُؤْمِنٍ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ الدُّنْيَا، نَفَّسَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَمَنْ يَسَّرَ عَلَى مُعْسِرٍ، يَسَّرَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ، وَمَنْ سَتَرَ مُؤْمِنًا، سَتَرَهُ اللَّهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ، وَاللَّهُ فِي عَوْنِ الْعَبْدِ مَا كَانَ الْعَبْدُ فِي عَوْنِ أَخِيه .»
