From the Church to the Mosque: Support Our Project

Dear brothers and sisters,

📍 In the heart of the Koenigshoffen neighborhood, in Strasbourg, our community has long prayed in three separate prayer rooms, for lack of a single suitable space. Alhamdulillah, we have reached a historic milestone by bringing these three places together into one large mosque! This ambitious project will make it possible to welcome the faithful with dignity and to offer many services to the community.

🚧 Today, the demolition phase has begun! 🏗️ Thanks to your donations and commitment, the work is progressing, but we still need you to bring this great undertaking to completion.

🙏 A gesture of fraternity between communities

While waiting for the works to finish, thanks to the generosity of the Christian community, we have the possibility to hold our prayers in Paroisse Bosco, located at 17 rue Virgile in Koenigshoffen. This interfaith solidarity is a beautiful example of respect and coexistence among the different communities of Strasbourg.

🏗️ A structuring project for the community

Our mosque will not only be a place of prayer, but also a true center of life and services for the community. We plan to include:

📖 Classrooms for learning the Quran and religious courses

🕌 A space dedicated to conferences and Islamic teachings

⚰️ A mortuary to accompany our deceased and their families with dignity

🏪 Shops that will facilitate the mosque's self-financing and ensure its sustainability

📜 Project history:

🕌 2018 – Creation of the Association Mosquée de Koenigshoffen, with the goal of acquiring a prayer place adapted to the community's needs.

🏢 2021 – Purchase of the building – An old commercial premises was acquired for €1,470,000, paid thanks to your donations and commitment.

🚧 2025 – Start of the works – After months of studies, the demolition phase has begun, marking a key milestone in the building's transformation.

🔜 Final objective – Fully rehabilitate the building to make it a true center of worship, education and fraternity.
