Jijel wildfires emergency: call for solidarity
The deadly fires that struck the Jijel region in Algeria have left bereaved families, destroyed homes and people who have sometimes lost everything. Domestic and wild animals have also been severely affected by this disaster.
Facing the scale of the tragedy, Mouad & Hicham are calling for solidarity to assist the victims.
All funds raised will be distributed in October 2026 in the disaster-affected areas of Jijel.
Funds will be distributed as direct financial assistance to the hardest-hit families and victims, identified on site according to the urgency of their situation and the extent of their losses.
The remainder of the collection will be given to local associations involved in the protection, rescue and care of animals affected by the fires.
In the interest of transparency, the handing over of donations and the actions carried out on site will be documented and filmed. A report on the fundraising and distribution will then be shared with donors.
Each donation, even modest, can help relieve a family, help a person meet immediate needs or enable the care of an injured animal.
Together, let’s show the victims in Jijel that they are not alone.
