Urgency — Help a young HIV-positive woman in great distress to regain a roof and a dignified life


We are launching an emergency fundraiser to support a young woman born HIV-positive, currently in a situation of extreme precarity in Yaoundé (Cameroon). Orphaned of both her mother and grandmother, she was rejected by her family. With no resources, she lives wherever she can, lacks food, is a victim of stigma and does not receive the medical care and social follow-up she needs. She lost a pregnancy due to lack of means and has skin health problems. Despite everything, she is receiving care at Yaoundé Hospital — her situation is critical.

Fundraising objective
We want to raise funds and in-kind donations to:
- Find safe, stable housing (temporary accommodation followed by independent housing),
- Provide daily food and urgent medical care,
- Offer vocational training and a small start-up capital for financial independence,
- Cover travel expenses (hospital, follow-up).



Accepted donations

- In-kind donations: non-perishable food, hygiene products, clothing, blankets, small training equipment (notebooks, tools depending on the intended training).


Transparency and follow-up
We commit to:
- Publish a statement of funds received and a regular report on their use,
- Provide receipts/proof of purchase for major expenses,
- Keep the community informed of her situation (photos, medical reports if the person gives her consent).
