Call for solidarity – To provide dignified care to a person who has been suffering for over 13 years.

Message from the family concerned:

We are calling on your solidarity today to support our sister, who is affected by a severe degenerative neurological disease, Parkinson's disease, at an advanced stage. Her condition has significantly deteriorated in recent months: she now suffers from a major loss of autonomy, with marked muscle rigidity, speech disorders (dysarthria) and swallowing disorders (dysphagia), as well as episodes of confusion and anxiety. She now depends entirely on daily assistance for the simplest tasks of life.
Her care requires constant attention, the indispensable presence of a caregiver, as well as appropriate medical equipment (hospital bed, anti-bedsore mattress, wheelchair, hygiene equipment). Added to this are the treatments and specialized medical follow-up, essential to stabilize her condition and prevent complications.

In Algeria, this type of situation is unfortunately very poorly covered, and most often families alone have to find solutions to provide care and preserve the dignity of their loved ones.

Today, despite all our efforts, we have reached our limits. The total budget necessary to guarantee her minimal and dignified care is estimated at approximately 5000 to 9000 euros.
This fundraiser is for us a hope: to be able to continue to care for her, to relieve her and to offer a little comfort in this difficult ordeal.

Every contribution, however modest, is a precious help. A share, a message of support count just as much.
