As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
First of all, I wish to call Allah 'azza wa djal as witness that my request is sincere and truthful, and I commit to transferring the entirety of the collected amount to our sister fiLlah; it will be sent directly to the institute for her therapy bi idhniLlah.
Here is an explanation of the illness our dear sister is suffering from:
She has severe, painful hyperacusis with acute crises (for the past month and a half she has been in an acute crisis and her condition is worsening).
Her hyperacusis is an auditory dysfunction: she perceives everyday sounds louder than normal; all sounds are amplified causing intense neural-type pains, severe migraines, ear inflammation (severe otitis) sometimes extending into the neck and jaw; ears constantly blocked, extreme fatigue, sleep disorders, accumulated stress and severe anxiety.
We are at the stage of disability—unrecognized officially, but a disability nonetheless.
Hearing is a sense we all need to enjoy the beautiful things in life; for her, it is a sense that harms her and makes her suffer greatly. She lives daily (day and night) with earplugs and wears noise-cancelling headphones to go out, but even that cannot block certain noises or prevent relapses.
All sounds are unbearable for her: cars, horns, dishes, voices, hand claps, rustling paper, pen noises, sounds from devices like TV and phone, birdsong, and other everyday noises that are trivial to us.
Everything is complicated for her to do: moving around, going out to shop, being among several people... every outing, every contact with someone is calculated.
She is the mother of a little boy of two and a half and cannot properly care for him, especially during a crisis; she must remain alone, isolated in a room, in total silence.
Recently, because of an alarm that went off, she is in a very severe crisis: the sound of her own voice, drops of water, the rubbing of clothes, her own saliva and the sound of her breathing hurt her greatly. Since that crisis she has not calmed and is not improving; she is getting worse and suffering further trauma.
This illness has become unmanageable for her; she is beginning to sink into depression, and only religion—Alhamdulillah—has kept her alive, because many in her situation have already taken their own lives.
To date, there is no cure for this illness because it is not yet well known.
This therapy is the only one in the world able to help patients with severe hyperacusis.
Let us help our sister get better; she only asks to live simply, to hear without suffering and to share her son's laughter, to hear him speak, to go to the park and do activities with him, to be able to read and speak without pain.
~ Let us not forget that whoever relieves a Muslim of a worry, ALLAH will relieve him of a worry on the Day of Resurrection.
- The Prophet 'layhi salat wa salaam said: “The soul of the believer remains suspended between destruction and salvation until he settles his debt.”
(Reported by At-Tirmidhî: hasan), (As-Suyutî: sahîh)
- According to Abdallah Ibn Omar (may Allah be pleased with them), the Prophet (may the prayers of Allah and His peace be upon him) said: “The Muslim is the brother of the Muslim; he does not wrong him and does not abandon him. Whoever attends to his brother’s need, Allah attends to his need. Whoever relieves a Muslim of a worry, Allah relieves him of a worry among the worries of the Day of Resurrection. And whoever conceals a believer (*), Allah will conceal him on the Day of Resurrection.”
(Reported by Bukhari in his Sahih no.2442 and Muslim in his Sahih no.2580)
(*) That is, he does not reveal his sin.
I would like to point out that this therapy is not covered by social security, nor by mutual insurance, nor by any other organization.
After much hesitation and embarrassment—and because this sister has never asked for anything, Allahumma baarak—I am seeking external help.
We are gathering all papers and documents as proof to support our statements.
Baraka Allahu fikum for kindly sharing this fundraiser and contributing even just €1, whatever the amount; and if you cannot give, I ask Allah to reward your intention, and please pray for her.
May Allah preserve you, ease all our affairs, and grant our sister a full recovery, insha'Allah.
Qu'Allah lui soulage ses souffrances et lui accorde une guérison totale ❤
According to our statistics, a single share raises an average of 30 euros.
