For more than 15 years the city of Gaza in Palestine has been subjected to an inhumane blockade.
Gaza is more than 2 million inhabitants crowded into 365 km2.
Including more than one million who live in one of the city's 8 refugee camps.
Between bombings, restricted access to water, disease, unemployment, poverty, famine, unsanitary housing, the inhabitants of GAZA are dying.
Ramadan is approaching and the situation may worsen...
In this regard, Solid’Uni is implementing a project during Ramadan 2023 aimed at 100 families from the Nuseirat, Bureij, Maghazi and Deir El-Balah refugee camps.
The project consists of a donation collection that will allow the preparation and distribution of food parcels before Ramadan to families in need.
The selected families number 100, live below the poverty line and receive no form of assistance from the Palestinian authority or UNRWA.
Why are we targeting the Nuseirat, Bureij, Maghazi and Deir El-Balah camps?
Located in the center of the Gaza Strip, these camps are the most populated and poorest in the city.
This initiative has already been carried out in previous months in Gaza which allowed us to refine the inclusion criteria for beneficiary families and to assess their needs more precisely.
The price of the monthly food parcel is thus set at 80 euros per family.
By joining forces we can allow these 100 families to eat their fill throughout this Holy month.
What do our food parcels contain?
Starchy foods:
Rice
Pasta
Meat
Tomato sauces
Cooking oil
Olive oil
Hummus
Cheese
Flour
Lentils
Beans
Chickpeas
Vegetables
Fruits
Tea
Hygiene products: soap, dishwashing liquid.
Also, an Iftar will be prepared and distributed to orphaned and amputee children from the refugee camps in Gaza in partnership with the Association des Footballeur Amputés de Gaza.
We place great importance on TRANSPARENCY: trusted intermediaries, invoices and commercial receipts available for consultation.
As a reminder: 100% of DONATIONS TO BENEFICIARIES.
According to our statistics, a single share raises an average of 30 euros.
