Help Batman Breathe: Veterinary Expenses

Let's help my cat breathe: a fundraiser for his veterinary care 🐾

Hello everyone,

I've never done this and I've never wanted to ask for so much money, but today I have no other choice.

I've shared my life with Batman, my cat, since I was 8 years old—more than 13 years now. We've watched each other grow, and he means far more to me than just a companion. He is my family, and so much more.

I'm creating this fundraiser because Batman has had respiratory problems for a few months. He has what seem to be attacks during which he struggles to breathe, with his neck stretched and his tongue out. Even outside those attacks, he gets breathless quite easily.

I need to take him to the veterinarian as soon as possible and not delay things to prevent his condition from worsening. Everything points to possible asthma, but whether that's the case or not, exams, treatment and follow-up are necessary.

He is also a bit overweight due to stress, which doesn't help his breathing. But at his age, a sudden change of diet could be dangerous for his organs, which are no longer young. Veterinary monitoring is therefore also necessary for that.

Unfortunately, consultations, X-rays, tests and treatments represent a cost that I am currently unable to cover alone. My situation barely allows me to live properly, and the hundreds of euros that all these treatments will require are an astronomical sum for me.

This is a difficult situation because my priority is for my cat to be able to breathe properly, to be relieved and to receive serious follow-up care. I don't want to give up the care he may need simply because my financial means are limited.

That's why I'm asking for your help today.

The money raised will be used exclusively to contribute to his veterinary expenses, notably:

- Consultations and examinations needed for diagnosis.
- X-rays and tests prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Medications and any treatment supplies required.
- Follow-up consultations and future care.

I've set an initial fundraising goal of 850 €, trying to estimate as best I can what all these treatments might individually cost while allowing some margin for a few follow-up consultations. This goal may be adjusted if necessary, depending on the veterinarian's estimate and his actual needs.
