HELP! This is the call being made by 95% of BERGAMS production employees who have been on strike since 14 September 2021
The employees are engaged in a struggle to end the modulation of working time, to regain better working conditions and pay that takes seniority into account, following the collective performance agreement signed a year ago which has had the following consequences:
Increased workload, workplace accidents, and absenteeism
Variable and fluctuating schedules during the day, without payment of overtime, making it impossible to reconcile work and personal life
Deterioration of working conditions to the detriment of health
Finally, a huge reduction in pay of up to €800 for some people
BERGAMS management (a subsidiary of the NORAC group) is exploiting precariousness while at the same time applying for partial unemployment benefits and hiring temporary agency workers!
The employees are physically and mentally exhausted and are determined to continue this struggle to the end, whatever the cost.
This fundraiser is managed by the FO-CGT-SIF inter-union and the elected representatives of the CSE to compensate the striking workers for lost wages. We appeal to your generosity, whatever the amount of your contribution, to support these employees who are fighting to defend their rights.
