The Ikram project is organizing a collection of food supplies — €2 per meal — for needy people in great difficulty in Mauritania.
This project will run all year.
100 meals for 100 people per day.
4 days out of 7 the meals will be distributed, INCHALLAH, to all the needy.
Allah described in verses 103 and 104 of Surah Al-Kahf No. 18:
“Say: Do you want us to inform you who are the greatest losers in deeds? Those whose efforts were lost in the life of this world while they thought they were doing good.”
قال الله تعالى : قل هل ننبئكم بالأخسرين أعمالا الذين ضل سعيهم في الحياة الدنيا وهم يحسبون أنهم يحسنون صنعا
(سورة الكهف ١٠٤/١٠٣)
Imam Mohamed Al Amine Chanqiti (died in 1393) said in Adwa Al Bayan vol 3 p 422:
“Know first that the Qur’an shows that good deeds are those that fulfill three things:
- First: that the act be performed on the basis of a correct belief
- Second: that it be done sincerely for Allah
- Third: conformity with what the Messenger of Allah (may Allah send His blessings and salutations upon him) brought.”
ALLAH AZAWAJAL SAID :
- Allah said in Surah Al-Anbiya No. 21 Verse 94:
“Whoever does righteous deeds while being a believer — his effort will not be disregarded; and We will record it for him.”
- Allah said in Surah Al-Isra No. 17 Verse 19:
“And those who seek the Hereafter and strive for it while they are believers — it is those whose efforts will be rewarded.”
Hadith of the Prophet (salat wa salam) said:
There are seven categories of people whom Allah will shade on the Day when there will be no shade but His; among them: (And a man who gave charity so secretly that his left hand did not know what his right hand spent) — reported by Al-Bukhari.
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:
“The best action is that you make your believing brother joyful, or you discharge his debt, or you give him food [you feed him]” — reported by Al-Bayhaqi, from Abu Hurayrah.
According to Omar ibn Aouf (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:
“Charity of a Muslim prolongs life, prevents a bad death, and Allah removes pride and arrogance with it” — reported by Tabarani.
And he said (may Allah bless him and grant him peace):
“Spend, and Allah will spend for you [He will provide for your needs]” — reported by Tabarani, from Qais ibn Sal’i Al-Ansaari.
