According to Abou Houreira (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (may the prayers of Allah and His peace be upon him) was the most generous of men and the time when he was most generous was during Ramadan when Jibril met him. Jibril would come to him every night of Ramadan to study the Qur'an with him. Thus when the Prophet (may the prayers of Allah and His peace be upon him) met Jibril he was more generous than the sent winds.

According to Zayd ibn Khalid Al-Juhni (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (may the prayers of Allah and His peace be upon him) said: โWhoever provides food for a fasting person to break his fast will have the same reward as him without that detracting anything from the reward of the fasting person.โ
