The wildfires struck with exceptional force the north-east regions of Algeria — Béjaïa, Jijel and Tizi-Ouzou — leaving behind a tragic toll, with numerous fatalities, injured people, and massive destruction of livestock — cattle, sheep... — essential to the livelihood of many families.
Faced with this ordeal, an urgent appeal for solidarity is launched to support the affected families.
