As-salamu alaykum my brothers and sisters, in this blessed month of sharing and solidarity, I call on your generosity and your support to help a Malian community that faces serious, daily problems accessing water.
KELEYA, located 100 km from Bamako on the road to Sikasso.
It is a village of more than 2,500 inhabitants.
The villagers are confronted with a water problem that represents a huge burden on the shoulders of women and children.
The idea of drilling a borehole and a cistern to help improve the villagers' daily lives is highly beneficial.
This constitutes a Sadaqa Jariyah whose benefits continue on 🤲🤲🤲
According to 'Abdallah Ibn 'Abbas, the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The best charity is to give water to drink.”
Sadaqa Jariyah therefore benefits the deceased if it is carried out with the firm intention that the rewards be for them.
“When a person dies, all their deeds are cut off except three: a continuous charity (Sadaqa Jariyah), beneficial knowledge that is spread, or a righteous child who prays for their parents.”
The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Charity never decreases wealth, and charity extinguishes sins as water extinguishes fire.”
