The project in one sentence
Rehabilitate and equip the health post of Korbé (sub-prefecture of Lélouma, Republic of Guinea) to make access to healthcare dignified, safe and continuous for 15 521 inhabitants, including 54.3% women and a large number of children.
Why now?
The Korbé health post is the first — and often only — healthcare option for thousands of people. But today:
🏚️ The roof leaks, ceilings are falling, walls are eaten by humidity
⚡ Electrical installations are defective
💊 The pharmacy is stored in precarious conditions
🪑 Medical furniture is worn out or even missing
🤰 Pregnancy follow-up and vaccination coverage are suffering
Healthcare staff are doing their best. But without healthy buildings and equipment, the quality of care is seriously compromised.
What we are going to do
A project structured in two phases, budgeted and validated by an on-site engineer:
🛠️ PHASE 1 — Rehabilitation (absolute priority) · ≈ 71 400 €
Maternity ward · Consultation room · Rest & quarantine room · Staff housing · Water tower · Toilets · Isolation room
🏗️ PHASE 2 — Extension · ≈ 48 600 €
Medical analysis laboratory + radiology room · Morgue + cold room
📊 Total cost : ≈ 120 000 € (quote excluding taxes established in December 2025)
A commitment already secured
IAC (International Aid Charity, United States) has committed 20 000 USD (≈ 18 500 €) to finance the Korbé maternity unit. This initial institutional support validates the solidity of the project and gave us the momentum to open this fundraiser.
We still need ≈ 100 000 € to mobilize together to complete the full project.
Who are we ?
RGNK — Relève Gnogueyabhé Korbé is a French non-profit association (law 1901) recognized as serving the public interest, founded in 2021. We are around fifty young people from Korbé living in France, mobilized around solidarity initiatives in health, education and local development.
