After the tornado that struck Pomas on 24 August with unprecedented violence, Sofi and Julien have lost everything. The village is unrecognizable: houses were ripped open, roofs torn off, all the windows shattered, cars overturned. Residents describe a scene like a war zone.
Sofi and Julien live here and make their living by hand; they are winegrowers and fruit growers. In a few minutes they lost their home, their work equipment, their harvests, the guesthouse they were finishing — in short, everything that made up their activity and the future they had built with so much work.
They are being hosted in a neighboring village; they have nothing now and, as the village is still inaccessible to outsiders, we are launching this fundraiser to help them get through the first weeks and the coming months, which will be very difficult.
To everyone who knows them or wishes to help, we are launching this fundraiser. For us, giving a few euros will not change our daily lives; for them, every support will be an outstretched hand in this ordeal as unpredictable as it is devastating. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS FOR THEM
