Hello everyone, for almost a year now, Covid-19 has been disrupting our lives. The cultural sector is one of the hardest hit. For a year, sceneweb has continued to be published every day. sceneweb is published by a private press company that receives no government subsidies, and whose funding is 100% secured by its advertising revenue. The prospect of reopening venues is distant, and resources will become increasingly scarce by summer.
Like all actors in the cultural sector, the sceneweb team has reinvented itself and has continued to support artists by giving them a voice every day for a year. The audience has never declined; the readers are still here. 50 000 unique visitors per month. If each reader gave one euro to this fundraiser, we would be even less dependent on advertising.
