Assalamu alaykum.
The large Ali Hacene Blidi Mosque in Marseille has been closed by the city hall since March 2018 for safety work. A solution has been found and the mosque should, insha'Allah, reopen its doors very soon.
Since we are closed we cannot collect donations to maintain the mosque and pay the rent.
We are currently accumulating a debt of nearly 35.000 Euros as you can see in the photo below.
This is the second time the real estate agency has threatened us with eviction.

According to Muadh Ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him) said: « Charity extinguishes sins as water extinguishes fire ».

عن معاذ بن جبل رضي الله عنه قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم : الصدقة تطفئ الخطيئة كما يطفئ الماء النار
(رواه ابن ماجه في سننه رقم ٣٩٧٣ و صححه الشيخ الألباني في تحقيق سنن ابن ماجه)
According to Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), the Prophet (may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him) said: « O Aisha, protect yourself from the fire even with half a date, for indeed it does for the one who is hungry what it does for the one who is full »
(Reported by Ahmed and authenticated by Sheikh Albani in Sahih Targhib No.865)
The meaning of the hadith is: 'Give charity even if it is only half a date, for there is no difference for you whether you keep it or give it. Indeed, if you are hungry that half date will not appease your hunger and if you are full you do not need it.'
عن عائشة رضي الله عنها قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : يا عائشة استتري من النار ولو بشق تمرة فإنها تسد من الجائع مسدها من الشبعان
(رواه أحمد و حسنه الشيخ الألباني في صحيح الترغيب و الترهيب رقم ٨٦٥)
According to 'Adi Ibn Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him) said: « Protect yourselves from the fire, even with half a date. And if you do not find [one], then with a good word »
(Reported by Bukhari in his Sahih No.6539)
عن عدي بن حاتم رضي الله عنه قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم : اتقوا النار و لو بشق تمرة ، فإن لم تجدوا فبكلمة طيبة
(رواه البخاري في صحيحه رقم ٦٥٣٩)
According to Abu Umama Al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him) said: «Treat your sick with charity».
(Reported by Abu Sheikh and authenticated by Sheikh Albani in Sahih Jami No.3358)
عن أبي أمامة الباهلي رضي الله عنه قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم : داووا مرضاكم بالصدقة
(رواه أبو الشيخ و حسنه الشيخ الألباني في صحيح الجامع رقم ٣٣٥٨)
