We would like to share a collection with you at our wedding so that this day can be a blessing for those who are suffering.
We have chosen to finance a well in Africa. You can contribute to its construction. Depending on our means and your participation, we will decide on the type of well we will fund (see the description below)
We chose the association « Nouvelle Optique » which was founded in 2002. This association works in Africa, Asia and Europe in several areas (water, schools, food, sponsorship..)
Believers or non-believers, we all have a duty to help those in need and to do our best during our time on earth. This well is an opportunity for us to provide support to the most disadvantaged by performing a sadaqa jariya (aumĂ´ne continue)
According to Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him) said: “There are seven things whose reward reaches the servant in his grave after his death: the one who taught a science, dug the bed of a river, dug a well, planted a palm tree, built a mosque, left a mushaf (Qur'an) as an inheritance, or left a pious child who asks forgiveness for him after his death.”
Each of these things is a continuous charity that will follow us even after death.
According to Abdullah Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him) said: "The best charity is to give water to drink" (reported by Abu Ya'la and authenticated by Sheikh Albani in Sahih Al Jami No. 1113)
According to Abu Hurayra (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him) said: "There is no charity that has a greater reward than water." (reported by Al-Bayhaqi and authenticated by Sheikh Albani in Sahih Targhib No. 960)
"Smiling at your brother is a sadaqa (charity), enjoining the good, preventing the wrong, guiding someone who is lost on a land, removing anything that could harm passersby on a road.."
"I said to the Prophet: 'O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died, can I give charity on her behalf?' — 'Yes,' he replied. — 'What is the best charity?', I then asked. — 'Giving water to drink,' he replied."
"Whoever does good the weight of an atom will see it"
"The man who gives charity so secretly that his right hand does not know what his left hand has given"

Our baseline goal is to finance a simple well in Ghana (€1500 for 150 to 300 beneficiaries)
But we can do even better!
Borehole well: €2900 in Ghana (for 500 to 1000 people)
Water tower + borehole: €3500 in Ghana (for over 1000 people)

Nous devons également trouver un nom à donner pour notre puits. Le 23 septembre le jour de notre mariage nous choisirons le nom que nous souhaitons tous donner à notre puit !
Chacun choisira le nom qu'il préfère parmis 3 noms et on choisira le nom qui ressort le plus :)
