Hello, given the financial difficulties faced by many families of pupils at our school, especially during lockdown, the teachers and staff of Collège Edgar Quinet as well as the parents' association "Les minots de St Charles" are launching a call for sharing and solidarity.
Many families in Marseille, in the 3rd arrondissement and in our school — who are already in a situation of extreme precarity in normal times — find themselves in absolute distress: precarious contracts, temporary work, fixed-term contracts and undeclared work (cleaning, construction site chores...) have stopped and the markets that allow people to buy food more cheaply are closed. A good number of families therefore no longer have the resources necessary to feed themselves and to obtain hygiene supplies essential during this public health crisis.
The Metropole has taken responsibility for food provision and is distributing food parcels to identified families, but there is still a need for hygiene items (sanitary products, baby products, nappies of all ages, wipes, etc.) that it cannot meet.
**That is why we hope to be able to count on solidarity to help these families in need. In this period, we can only count on each other.
The donations collected will be directly transferred to the parents' association, and will help our pupils and their families to meet their essential needs.**

According to our statistics, a single share raises an average of 30 euros.
