RAMADAN, THE MONTH OF SOLIDARITY AND SHARING
Dear brother, dear sister, you know how special the month of Ramadan is in Islam.
Fasting is one of the pillars of our religion. We must also redouble our efforts in our acts of worship and in good deeds, including good conduct towards others, generosity and charity.
The critical situation caused by COVID-19 is depriving many isolated people and families in need of food. The vulnerable dread the arrival of this month and will be deprived of their iftar.
That is why SOLIDARITÉ RAMADAN, a collective of associations bringing together the Conseil des Mosquées du Rhône and the charitable associations LA MAIN TENDUE 69, MUSLIM HANDS, AIDER SON PROCHAIN, COEUR À COEUR, ACTIONS SOLIDAIRES, BOOSTER D'AVENIR, DONNER DES AILES, HUMAN APPEAL, OUMMANITY PROJECT AND LE COEUR LYONNAIS have set up this fund to provide a solution to this issue.
This campaign aims to support the poorest and most vulnerable. Volunteers will take turns throughout the month to deliver your food parcels as well as hot meals where the need is expressed.
"Worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him. Be kind to your parents, relatives, orphans, the poor, the near neighbor, the distant neighbor, the companion at your side and the traveler... for Allah does not truly love the presumptuous, the arrogant."

Let us reflect on the blessings that ALLAH has granted us. Let us contribute our stone to this building in order to relieve our brothers and sisters in humanity, in faith. Let us be united in the face of this global crisis.
