Dear brothers and sisters,
About seven months ago, our brother Sankoh was the victim of a serious road accident in Cairo, Egypt, after being struck by a motorcycle. Gravely injured, he suffered paralysis of his left arm as well as a fracture of his right arm. His condition required hospitalization in intensive care and significant medical treatment.
Today, after these long months of trial, he recently returned to France with his wife to continue his medical examinations and rehabilitation, particularly for his arm.
A slight improvement is nevertheless encouraging, as he is now able to move his arm slightly. However, the road to recovery remains long. He is still very limited in his daily life and still needs his wife’s help to perform many routine tasks.
Since his accident, he is unfortunately no longer able to work. He must nonetheless continue to face the expenses of daily life while pursuing his treatment and rehabilitation. This situation makes his daily life particularly difficult, as he must cover these costs even though he can no longer work.
Furthermore, their children, still very young, are still in Egypt, where they continue their schooling with their grandmother. This family separation, as well as the responsibilities related to their children’s education, add further difficulties to this ordeal.
That is why we wish to mobilize again to support our brother and his family. In this particularly difficult time, our solidarity can help ease their daily burdens and allow them to get through this ordeal with greater peace of mind.
📖 The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Whoever relieves a believer of some hardship of this worldly life, Allah will relieve him of some hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever makes things easier for one in difficulty, Allah will make things easier for him in this world and in the Hereafter."
