In Narathiwat, in the Muslim south of Thailand, nearly 200 orphaned children are growing up today without a real home.
They did not choose this and yet they will live an entire life without knowing the feeling of a loving mother’s hug or a protective father’s smile. Beyond the loneliness, they do not have access to a child’s basic needs.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “The one who takes care of an orphan and I will be in Paradise like this.” — And he joined his index and middle fingers.
To offer them a more dignified future, the association Sourire d’Orphelins, in partnership with Merkez Attawheed School, is launching a large fundraiser to build a two-story orphanage.
This future home of more than 1 100 m² will include:
✅ 6 classrooms
✅ rooms to accommodate the orphans
✅ a space for learning the Quran and basic Islamic teachings
✅ a secure dormitory to protect and support them
Far more than a building, this place will provide them with a stable environment to learn, grow and rebuild.
