Among brothers, we have decided to launch this fundraiser to help a sister who is going through a very difficult period.
She is a single woman, a mother, who now finds herself without stable housing. She did not ask for this, and when we try to offer help, she refuses. Not because she does not need it, but out of modesty, dignity and reserve. She is one of those who prefer to wait and endure rather than ask.
The goal of this fundraiser is simple: to allow her to settle with dignity. To help her access housing, to set up with the bare minimum — some furniture, food — and to provide a stable environment for her children while her situation improves.
This sister has been living in a Muslim land for several years. She made this choice out of conviction, for the sake of Allah, to preserve her faith, her dignity, and that of her children. This fundraiser is also part of an effort to preserve what she has patiently built, and to help her continue on the path she chose for Allah and for her family.
Allah says in the Qur'an: “(Charity is for) the poor who are attached to the cause of Allah… One who does not know them thinks them to be well-off because of their restraint, but you will recognize them by their mark: they do not beg of people persistently.” Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 273
The Prophet ﷺ said: “He who cares for a widow and a poor person is like one who fights in the cause of Allah.” Reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim
And he also said: “Whoever relieves a believer of a hardship in this world, Allah will relieve him of a hardship on the Day of Resurrection.” Reported by Muslim
This sister is not aware of this fundraiser. She did not ask for it. This initiative is being carried out discreetly, with the sole intention of doing good and helping a person in need while preserving her honor.
