Fundraiser to Save Danicia

We launched this fundraiser to help little girl Barache Danicia, aged 07, from the Tazmalt region, wilaya of Béjaia, daughter of Mr Barache Arezki and Lahbib Samira (Village Rodha).

Little angel Danicia is said to have been affected by a very rare disease called Behçet-like disease for 4 years, for which the diagnosis is not yet definitive. Unfortunately, given the complexity of this disease and the lack of expertise in Algeria regarding its management, Danicia suffers greatly and so do her parents because they are helpless in the face of this hard trial of life. I leave you to imagine what the child feels first, who only asks to live normally like other children without suffering, and what her parents feel daily, powerless in the face of this disease that they cannot relieve their daughter of its effects and symptoms.

After consulting all specialists and hospital departments, Danicia's health continues to deteriorate; all the specialist doctors following her, notably cardiologist Dr ASBAI Fatah and neuro-physiologist Dr SAYAD Souad, recommend having her treated abroad because this rare disease is unknown in Algeria and there is no local care available—care that requires a great deal of expertise and tests that are not available locally to establish an accurate diagnosis and treat her accordingly.

A quote has been prepared for care in Spain of €14,500, including an in-depth investigation of her disease through a battery of tests including 45 days of hospitalization.
