In Senegal, people with disabilities still face numerous obstacles in their participation in social, cultural and sporting life:
Lack of accessible infrastructure,
Lack of inclusive initiatives,
The persistence of certain prejudices that contribute to maintaining a form of silent exclusion.

Yet sport is a powerful lever for inclusion: it brings people together, creates bonds and helps overcome differences. It is within this dynamic that the association Au Cœur du Sport acts, using sport as a tool for social inclusion and for changing perceptions of disability.
Within this framework, Au Cœur du Sport is officially launching its activities in Senegal through a founding event:

An inclusive, solidarity-driven sporting event that marks the start of an annual gathering dedicated to sport and inclusion.
Beyond a single event, this initiative aims to launch a lasting momentum of actions in Senegal, in collaboration with actors already engaged on the ground: associations, specialized centers, companies and institutions.
Officially established in 2022, the association works to:
Promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in social and sporting life
Facilitate their participation in sporting events and cultural activities
Develop adapted sports activities that promote well-being and motor skills
raise awareness among society and organizations for a better understanding of disability
Support families and strengthen the capacities of professionals and supervisory staff
Promote autonomy and social integration of beneficiaries.
