Hospital staff strike - Laboratory staff
From 07 March, we want to join the national shutdown to force the government to withdraw the pension reform! We demand the withdrawal of the reform but also call for full-rate pensions at 60 and 55 for the most demanding jobs for everyone.
Moreover, the public hospital has not been spared by successive governments' austerity policies. Chronic understaffing, precarious contracts, lack of equipment, and wages that struggle to rise against runaway inflation — hospital workers have been neglected for years. Ultimately, it is patients who are mistreated and poorly cared for.
In this respect, we demand salary increases of at least 200€, their indexing to inflation, and the conversion of all precarious contracts into permanent positions. We also demand massive hiring in pressured sectors as well as significant investment in material resources to alleviate the workload caused by staff shortages and the unbearable working conditions.
For all this, to be able to fight against the pension reform, for our working conditions and for the quality of public healthcare we need support! We are young, older, parents, single parents and we are not spared by the rising cost of living.
