🤲 Solidarity fundraiser for the repatriation of a sister's mother
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the mother of one of our sisters. May Allah have mercy on her, forgive her sins, illuminate her grave and grant her Al-Firdaws. آمين.
Faced with a complicated situation to handle all the required procedures, our sister and her family call on your solidarity to give her mother a dignified last journey to her country of origin, Algeria.
The repatriation of the body involves significant costs: administrative and consular procedures, transport and funeral arrangements. Part of the expenses will be covered by the family, but there remains an outstanding amount to be funded.
This is why we are launching this fundraiser so that everyone can contribute according to their means, even modestly.
🤍 Where will the collected money go?
Priority will be given to settling the remaining costs related to the repatriation. If the amount collected exceeds the needs, the surplus will be used to help people in need in Algeria, as a sadaqa on behalf of the deceased, hoping that Allah grants her the reward.
Every donation, every share and every invocation counts greatly. Let us not underestimate a small charity given sincerely for Allah.
📖 Some reminders from the Qur'an and the Sunnah
1. A charity whose reward endures
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“When the son of Adam dies, his deeds come to an end except in three cases: a continuous charity, knowledge from which people benefit, or a righteous child who prays for him.”
📚 Sahih Muslim, 1631.
2. Giving charity on behalf of a deceased person
A man asked the Prophet ﷺ if he could give charity on behalf of his deceased mother. The Prophet ﷺ replied in the affirmative.
📚 Sahih al-Bukhari, 1388; Sahih Muslim, 1004.
3. The reward of charity
Allah says in the Qur'an:
“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a grain that grows seven ears; in every ear is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies the reward for whom He wills.”
📖 Surah Al-Baqara, verse 261.
May Allah reward every person who will contribute to this fundraiser, share it or pray for the deceased.
May Allah grant her His mercy, forgive her, open for her the doors of Paradise, illuminate her grave and grant her Al-Firdaws. May He grant our sister and her relatives immense patience and soothe their hearts in this trial.
BarakAllahu fikoum for your generosity, your shares and your duas. 🤲🏻
