Construction of a Masjid and an Islamic Madrassah in Foumbot, Cameroon
Assalamou alaykoum wa rahmatoullahi wa barakatouh,
Dear brothers and sisters,
We are appealing to your generosity for an emergency project: the immediate demolition and reconstruction of the mosque and the Islamic madrassah in Foumbot, Cameroon. The current buildings are in an extremely advanced state of disrepair, endangering the safety of those who come to pray and to study. It is imperative to demolish the existing structures, rebuild them and equip them so that we can continue to worship Allah ta3ala in better conditions.
We have already acquired and financed the land needed for this project, but it is now urgent to proceed with the demolition and reconstruction of the mosque and the madrassah. The total estimated cost for this project is 55 000 euros, at a rate of 460 euros per square meter built.
This amount will cover not only the demolition of the old buildings and the purchase of the land, but also their reconstruction and fitting-out to create spaces worthy of prayer and the teaching of our faith.
La Sadaqa Jariyah :
By contributing to this project, you are taking part in a Sadaqa Jariyah, an ongoing charity that will bring you rewards even after your departure from this world. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“When one of the sons of Adam dies, his deeds come to an end, except three: a Sadaqa Jariyah, beneficial knowledge, or a pious child who prays for him.”
(Sahih Muslim)
Every prayer in this mosque, every lesson in this madrassah, and every act of worship in these places will continue to bring you rewards, day after day.
Management of the Mosque
We also have the honor to inform you that the mosque will be led by a brother, a student of Islamic sciences, a pupil of Sheikh Muhammad Said Raslan, Hafidhahullah, a respected figure in the world of Islamic scholarship.
Under his leadership, this mosque will be a place guaranteeing a faithful and authentic transmission of Islamic knowledge, respecting the teachings of the Qur'an and the Sunnah, according to the methodology of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah.
Why is this project urgent?
The current condition of the buildings is dangerous for the believers, especially for the children who attend the madrassah. Rebuilding the mosque and the madrassah is an absolute priority.
