Here is the story of Habiba and Leyane....
I present to you Habiba and Leyane, aged 8 and 10, two little Palestinian beauties from the BALATA camp.
Three years ago their lives were turned upside down following a fire in the camp. Habiba and Leyane, severely burned, lost their older sister, Adyane, who was 10 years old at the time.
Thanks to a wave of solidarity across France, Un Nouveau Visage took on the mission to fund motor-function and reconstructive surgeries. After 1 year of operations... medical appointments... and complications, Habiba and Leyane are finally returning to Palestine to resume their lives.
Today, three years later we wish to help Habiba and Leyane significantly improve the scars on their faces, hands and feet by funding their reconstructive and aesthetic surgeries.
Beyond the medical aspect, these operations will also aim to support Habiba and Leyane’s psychological development. Indeed, laughter and intrusive stares negatively affect children’s well-being. They often refuse to go to school or to go out in certain places for fear of other people’s looks.
These operations will therefore help erase part of this tragedy and, in a way, pay tribute to Adyane who died saving her sisters from the fire!!
After our consultation with Dr KRASTINOVA-LOLOVA Darina, specialist in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, on 11 OCTOBER, the estimates are as follows:
For Leyane, 8 years old: FACIAL NEEDLING, NEEDLING OF THE LEFT UPPER LIMB, NEEDLING AND Z-PLASTY OF THE RIGHT UPPER LIMB, NEEDLING OF THE RIGHT LOWER LIMB (ANKLE).
Surgeon’s fees: 3000 €
Anesthetist’s fees: 700 €
Operating assistance + night care: 400 €
Operating room fees: 830 €
Administrative fee: 160 €
Room: 600 €
Laboratory: 120 €
Accompanying person (excluding meals): 70 €
Materials: 600 €
TOTAL : 6480 €
For Habiba, 10 years old: FACE: LIPOFILLING, NEEDLING AND Z-PLASTY; DOUBLE Z-PLASTY RIGHT UPPER LIMB; DOUBLE Z-PLASTY OF THE WRIST + THE FIRST COMMISSURE LEFT UPPER LIMB; DOUBLE Z-PLASTY RIGHT LOWER LIMB; LIPOFILLING.

Lipofilling is a method of injecting fat to fill facial depressions. All of this will be followed by a laser procedure to smooth the skin and restore an even skin texture.
We add to this the round-trip plane tickets: approximately 2000 €
And accommodation, living and food expenses for 1 month: 2000 euros.
