LEBANON EMERGENCY
As of August 5, 2020, the toll is heavy: 300,000 people homeless, 113 dead so far and thousands injured, rescuers continue to search for victims under the rubble.
The explosion that caused more than a hundred deaths and thousands of injuries has plunged Lebanon into an unbearable state of emergency.
Lebanon has been going through an economic crisis for several months already; the Lebanese are suffering from poverty, coronavirus, and now massive destruction leaving nearly 300,000 people without housing.
The hospitals that are still operational are unable to care for everyone given the extent of the damage caused by the explosion.
We are launching an emergency fundraiser to provide our full support to the Lebanese who are going through an extremely difficult situation.
This fundraiser is launched by the associations « Un Geste Pour Tous », « Umanah », and « Humainement Concernés » which regularly travel to Lebanon to carry out humanitarian activities.
With real on-the-ground expertise and knowledge of the context, we will be supported locally by partners to implement all emergency humanitarian operations.
Your help and mobilization are essential for this population that is suffering enormously; regardless of the amount of your contribution, every donation will play an important role given the current damage: 1€, 2€, 3€, 5€, together let's show what we are capable of.
Your donations will be used to provide emergency aid in different areas according to priorities observed on the ground: food, hygiene, emergency shelter, medical; you will be able to follow all our actions live.
